This is the one category where the pier is genuinely well placed: the nearest kitchen is a hundred meters from the gangway and there are more than a dozen inside a twenty-minute walk, most of them looking west over the water. Two practical notes. Lunch service on a call day fills up between twelve and two, so eat early or late rather than exactly when everyone else does. And several of the waterfront places are cash-light but card-heavy — you will rarely need dollars, though nobody minds them.
