La Cantina

La Cantina is a beer café and restaurant at Kaya Grandi 12 in the centre of Kralendijk: The Brewery at the front on the street, restaurant La Cantina in the courtyard behind it.

The two halves keep different hours and that is worth knowing. The beer café opens at 11:30 and runs to midnight — one of the few places on Kaya Grandi where you can sit down at lunchtime — while the restaurant at the back starts at 17:30. The courtyard is a surprise from the street: planted, quiet, and out of the wind.

There is a daily fish counter with the catch from local fisherman Jan, alongside a broad menu, an extensive beer list and a proper wine selection. Both halves are closed on Tuesday.
