About Osaka Japanese Fusion Restaurant
There are two things happening here: a sushi counter and a teppanyaki grill, where the food is cooked on a hot iron plate at the table. What makes it worth writing down is where the fish comes from — Osaka buys from Bonairean fishermen, so the sashimi is genuinely local rather than flown in frozen. Lionfish sometimes appears on the menu, which is the invasive species divers are encouraged to remove from the reef; eating it is the point.
Open Wednesday to Sunday from 18:00; dinner only, closed Monday and Tuesday. The teppanyaki tables seat a group around the grill and are booked in blocks, so reserve for those specifically. Prices are above the island average, as imported Japanese ingredients on a small island generally are. An hour and a half at the sushi bar, two hours at the grill.
