It sits on the shallow turquoise water that makes Lac Bay what it is, looking out over the windsurfers. The menu is international with local dishes alongside it and changes with the season; there are regular theme nights and events, which for a place this far from town is what keeps residents coming back rather than only visitors.

Open Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 22:00, with the kitchen closing at 21:00; closed Monday and Tuesday. Because it is a twenty-minute drive each way, treat it as the destination rather than a stop: combine it with a morning at Sorobon Beach or a windsurfing lesson and stay for lunch. Two hours or an afternoon.

Prices are much the same as on the Kralendijk boulevard despite being out of town. Two things to plan for: the road out here is dark after sunset with no street lighting for the last stretch, and Lac Bay is a Ramsar wetland, so there is no swimming from the restaurant side — the beach is at Sorobon, a few minutes further.
