Two weeks is enough to see all of Bonaire and still have days where you do nothing, so plan roughly one destination a day and accept that four of the fourteen are beach days. The full day on Klein Bonaire belongs in the first week, while the novelty is still there; Washington Slagbaai belongs in the second, when you are used to the heat. If you try to fill all fourteen days, the island will win.

Fourteen days on an island of forty kilometres sounds like too much, and it is not. What changes is the pace: you stop driving to places and start returning to them, which is how Bonaire is actually enjoyed.

Walk, do not drive. The first evening is for finding the sea, not for finding a parking space.
No facilities whatsoever, so this only works if the cool box came along.

Day 3 — A full day on Klein Bonaire

This is the one route that gives Klein Bonaire a whole day, and the only reason that works is the last boat: photograph its time when you board. Take twice the water you think you need — there is no shade beyond one small thatched shelter and nothing at all to buy. The afternoon back in town is ice cream, the boulevard and a table on the water.
The boats leave from the pier beside the bar, not from the cruise pier. Be there for the first crossing and photograph the time of the last one when you board.
An uninhabited islet 800 metres offshore with reef starting fifty metres from the sand and visibility routinely over twenty metres: the best snorkelling within reach of anyone without a tank. No shade, no water, no facilities.
Back on the pier with salt in your hair, and two minutes up from it the Italian ice cream everyone ends up at. The right order is: boat, ice cream, boulevard.

A whole day on Klein Bonaire only works if you know when the last boat leaves. The catamaran solves that differently: it stays with you all day.

Fixed: USD 75 visitor entry tax per person aged 13 and over, USD 10 for children up to 12. Add USD 40 nature fee per person per calendar year as soon as you enter the sea; children under 13 are exempt. A rental car, fuel and meals come on top — we have no current prices for those.

Bonaire has no bus network worth planning around. For the days below that leave Kralendijk you need your own wheels; book before you fly, because the island runs out of cars in high season.
Bonaire is outside EU roaming, so your bundle from home does not apply and the bill can be unpleasant. An eSIM you activate before you land is the cheapest fix. The app works offline either way — the map and every stop below are stored on the phone.
Questions people ask
Is two weeks too long for Bonaire?
Not if you leave days empty. The island holds about nine days of real destinations; the rest is for going back to whatever worked. Fill all fourteen and you see the same as someone with a week, only more tired.
What do you do on Bonaire on a day with no plan?
Go back to the reef you liked first, at a different hour. The same stretch of coast at sunrise holds different life than it does at three in the afternoon. Otherwise: the Saturday market, an afternoon in Rincon, or the east coast, where almost nobody goes.
Can you combine Bonaire and Curaçao in two weeks?
You can — there is a daily half-hour flight — but it costs you two days in transit and check-ins, and the islands are less alike than people expect. With two weeks, doing one island properly is almost always the better trip.
Practical notes
Two weeks means two supermarket runs. The large supermarkets are all on Kaya Industria, five minutes from the centre.
A cool box in the boot changes this itinerary more than any other purchase. Half the good beaches have nothing at all.
The nature fee covers the whole calendar year, so a fortnight costs the same as a weekend.
Leave at least four days without a plan. They are the ones you will describe when you get home.
Do not book anything for the last morning. Bonaire's departures are early and the airport is small but slow.
