About Luciano Bonaire - Ice
The ice cream is made in the shop itself — the machine stands in the middle of the room — with fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juice for the fruit flavours, and illy espresso for the coffee. There is breakfast, lunch and homemade cake as well, so it works as a morning stop as much as an evening one. The tables face west, which makes this one of the easiest sunset seats in town: no reservation, no minimum spend, just be there by six.
Open every day from 07:30 until 23:00, which is longer than almost anything else on the boulevard — if you want coffee before a dive or ice cream after dinner, this is the address either way. Prices are ordinary café prices: a scoop or a coffee costs about what it does at home, and lunch stays well under what the waterfront restaurants next door charge. Half an hour for a cone, an hour or more if you sit down to eat.
