If you have been diving, the last day is a dry day: the usual guidance from the diving organisations is to leave at least eighteen hours between the final dive and take-off, so the last dive belongs on the morning before. That still leaves a full and pleasant day above the waterline — donkeys, the viewpoint over the whole west coast, and a beach four minutes from the terminal. Keep everything within ten minutes of the airport and you can stay out until two hours before the flight.

What do you do on your last day on Bonaire?
Something without depth: the salt pans, a viewpoint, the market or a final walk through Kralendijk. Snorkelling at the surface is fine — it is pressure that counts, not water. Keep the day short; the airport asks for two hours.
How early should you be at Flamingo Airport?
Two hours for an international flight. It is a small airport and the drive from Kralendijk takes ten minutes, but the check-in desks open late and close sharply, and with two departures at once there is a real queue.
Flying after diving
The guidance the diving organisations publish is a minimum of eighteen hours between the last dive of a repetitive, multi-day week and take-off. Ask your own dive centre or agency for the figure they use; the tables differ.
Snorkelling on the surface is not diving, and the restriction is about compressed air at depth. If you are unsure, or if you were freediving deep, ask your dive centre rather than guessing.
The nature fee tag stays valid for the rest of the calendar year, so keep it if you are coming back.

Departures from Bonaire are mostly in the afternoon and early evening, and the terminal is small but slow. Two hours before the flight is not excessive here.
