About Plasa di Brión
Plaza di Brion is the historic heart of Otrobanda. This open square has long been a meeting place for residents, traders, and sailors. It is named after Luis Brion, a naval commander who played a key role in Caribbean independence movements in the early nineteenth century. Today, the square offers a moment of calm between the surrounding streets. From here, you can sense how close the city has always been to the sea.
