The Floating Market

The Floating Market is located along the Sha Caprileskade in Willemstad, near the Waaigat harbor. For decades, vendors from Venezuela arrived here by boat to sell fresh produce directly from their vessels. Fruits, vegetables, and fish were traditionally sold straight from the deck to customers on shore. Although the market has changed over time, it remains a visible reminder of Curaçao’s long-standing trade connections with the South American mainland.
