King Kong Burger

The setting does more than the average truck manages: covered tables above a small cove, looking north over the bay towards town, with parking right there. Bachelor's Beach itself is a set of steps down to a strip of sand and one of the easier snorkel entries on this coast, so lunch here fits naturally around a morning in the water.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 to 16:00; closed Sunday and Monday. Burgers are the point and the portions are large. Reckon on fifteen to twenty-five dollars a head; bring cash, as most of the trucks on this coast do not take cards. An hour, or a whole afternoon if you combine it with the beach below — the steps down are steep but short, and the water at the bottom is calm on all but the roughest days.
