That swap arrangement is what makes an electric car workable on an island where public charging is thin.
The counter keeps office hours — roughly 08:00 to 17:00 on weekdays and shorter on Saturday — but handovers are arranged around flight times, so say when you land and when you leave. Cover is full with a zero deductible, which on Bonaire is not the default: most agreements carry five hundred to a thousand dollars of excess unless you buy it off. Collection and return at the airport are free. Petrol cars and pick-ups are on the list as well, so an electric car for the coastal roads and a pick-up for a day in Washington Slagbaai can come from the same counter.
