About 123 Car Rental
123 Car Rental Bonaire is a car rental company at Kaya Industria Pariba 35 in Kralendijk, on the small industrial estate a minute from Flamingo Airport where most of the island's rental firms sit.
The fleet is new Toyotas — Agya and Raize for two or three people, Hilux if you need a pick-up bed — with air conditioning, automatic gearboxes and USB sockets as standard. Their coverage package is the reason people pick them: a hundred per cent, no deductible, no deposit, unlimited mileage, and cancellation up to the day.
The handover happens at the airport rather than at an office, and that is what makes the hours workable: the office keeps roughly 08:00 to 17:00 on weekdays, but a car can be handed over outside those hours because it is done at the terminal. Instructions come by e-mail and WhatsApp beforehand; someone meets you at the fence with the car. That is a genuine saving of half an hour with luggage after an eight-hour flight. Reckon on around forty dollars a day for a compact and closer to fifty for the Hilux; book ahead in high season, when the island runs short of cars.
You have the vehicle. Now the route.
With a car the whole island opens up, and the island route is the day most people remember afterwards: north, east and south in one loop, with the story at every stop.
