About Bondrigro Supermarket
It is smaller and cheaper than the two big ones a few doors along, and it is where a lot of the island shops when it is not a holiday week.
The range is narrower — fewer imported brands, more of the everyday basics — but the fresh produce turns over quickly and the prices on staples are the lowest of the three. If you are stocking up for a fortnight and do not need Dutch cheese, this is the sensible stop.
Open Monday to Saturday from half past seven in the morning until half past seven in the evening, and Sunday morning only, from nine until one. That Sunday closing catches people out, and on an island where a lot of shops keep short weekend hours it is worth writing down: plan around it, or use Van den Tweel a few doors along, which is open all day.
