It is the most complete package of the snorkel boats: the price includes gear, a guide in the water with you, a warm local lunch, an open bar and transport from your accommodation, so there is nothing to arrange and nothing to carry. A photographer sails along, so you come home with pictures of yourself underwater rather than of the reef alone. The Friday sunset trip runs from 15:30 to 18:30.

Prices start at around eighty-five dollars. They sail Monday to Friday and on Sunday, with Saturday off, and trips run roughly three to four hours. The one thing to plan for: the Woodwind books up about a week ahead, so ring in the first days of your stay rather than the night before. Guides are in the water throughout, which makes this a reasonable first snorkel for someone who has not done it before.
