Eye Sea Bonaire

This is the trip for people who are not going to snorkel. Small children, grandparents, anyone who cannot swim or does not want to put their face in the water — they see the same reef through the floor of the boat, sitting down and dry. It is also the sensible option on a day when someone in the group has an ear infection or has been diving and cannot fly for another day.

The reef tour costs around thirty-seven dollars fifty and the combined reef-and-snorkel tour around fifty, which for a family means one boat can carry both the swimmers and the watchers. Reckon on about two hours. Trips run through the day and at sunset; book ahead in cruise season, when the marina is busy from mid-morning.
