Hiring the whole boat rather than a seat changes where you can go. The captains know the snorkel spots around Klein Bonaire, but they also reach places you cannot get to any other way — parts of the coast in Washington Slagbaai are accessible only from the water. The boat is a ten-metre, four-hundred-horsepower speedboat taking up to ten people, so it is fast enough to make the north and back in a day, and it will also tow a wakeboard or a tube.

A half day of four hours starts around three hundred and ninety-five dollars and a full day runs six hours; that is for the boat, not per person, so with eight people it works out cheaper per head than a seat on a scheduled trip. Captain, fuel, snorkel gear, cold drinks and snacks are included. Book ahead — there is one boat.
