Bagel & Bloom

The bagel is the point and it is not a common thing here: filled to order, alongside yoghurt bowls, waffles and sandwiches. What started as a breakfast and lunch place has grown into an all-day menu with dinner as well, so it is one of the few kitchens in town that does not close between services — useful in a centre where most places shut from three until five.

Being in the centre means you walk there from anywhere in town, and it is a reasonable stop on a morning of shopping on Kaya Grandi. Prices are café prices. Ring +599 701 3627 for the current hours, which are not published anywhere reliable. Half an hour for coffee and a bagel, an hour for a meal. On a cruise day the centre fills from mid-morning, so before ten or after two is the quieter window.
