About Bonaire Cruisers

Bonaire Cruisers rents golf carts from Kaya Irlanda 1a, in the centre of Kralendijk and within walking distance of the cruise pier.

That last part is the whole proposition. A cruise ship is alongside for six to nine hours, which is too long to spend in town and too short to book a full-day tour; a golf cart bridges the gap. You walk off the pier, pick one up, and do the southern loop — salt pans, slave huts, Pink Beach, the lighthouse — at your own pace, back well before sailing. No taxi to a rental yard by the airport, no waiting.

Reckon on sixty to ninety dollars a day for a two-seater and more for a four; some rentals are priced by the half day, which is what most cruise passengers want. Bring a driving licence. Stay on the paved roads: golf carts are not permitted in Washington Slagbaai and the unpaved north is not made for them. Half a day is enough for the south.

You have the vehicle. Now the route.

The south coast route is built for exactly this: half a day, paved road the whole way, and the story starting by itself the moment you reach a stop. Golf carts are not allowed into Washington Slagbaai and the unpaved north is not made for them, so the south is where a cart earns its keep.
