Pita Madre

It is the one truck on the island that is not at a beach, and that turns out to be its advantage: it sits on the coast road north, so it catches everyone driving up to the dive sites or back down from Rincon. Pitas and wraps filled to order, the kind of lunch you eat standing beside the car rather than settling in for.

Open Monday to Friday from 11:30 to 16:00; closed at the weekend. Reckon on ten to fifteen dollars and fifteen minutes. Cash is the safe assumption at any truck here. If you are diving the northern sites, this is on the way there and open at exactly the hour you come out of the water. There is room to pull off the road, which on the Debrot is not true everywhere.
