About Kite City Food Truck
Kite City is a food truck on Te Amo Beach, five minutes south of Kralendijk, next to the red double-decker.
Fish is what it does. The menu changes with what the local boats bring in — usually tuna, wahoo or mahi-mahi — and the fish platter comes grilled with local herbs, funchi and vegetables, which is a Bonairean plate rather than a beach snack. There are wraps, salads and a proper burger for anyone not eating fish, and the homemade sangria is worth ordering.
Open six days a week from 11:00 to 16:00, closed Sunday. Cash only in US dollars. Around fifteen to twenty-five dollars for a full meal. An hour. Two trucks on one beach means you can look at both menus before deciding, which is unusual here — and this is the one to pick if the catch matters more to you than the burger. Parking is along the road and there is shade under the trees behind the sand.
