It is run by Italians and it shows in what comes out of the kitchen: handmade pasta, proper pastry and espresso pulled the way it is at home. The lunch side is sandwiches, quiches and salads, and the counter of cakes and cornetti is worth arriving hungry for. Portions are generous and the prices are ordinary café prices rather than restaurant ones.
Open Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 17:00 and Sunday from 08:00 to 15:00 — one of the few places in the centre that opens on Sunday morning, which matters on an island where most of town is shut.
