About Visitor Entry Tax
It costs seventy-five dollars for anyone aged thirteen and over and ten dollars for children up to twelve, and the amount is the same whether you stay three days or three weeks. Pay it online at tourismtax.bonairegov.com — from seven days before you travel — or at the machines in the arrivals hall at Flamingo Airport. Credit card works, and Dutch visitors can use iDEAL.
You receive a QR code, and that is what is checked: keep it on your phone or print it, because you show it before you leave the terminal. The code is valid for thirty days from first use, so a longer stay needs a second one. Paying in advance takes two minutes and saves the queue on arrival, which after a nine-hour flight is worth it.
This is separate from the STINAPA nature fee, which is a different charge for going into the sea or the national park. Visitors regularly confuse the two and arrive having paid only one of them.
