Little Havana

Little Havana is a music bar and restaurant at Kaya Bonaire 4A in the centre of Kralendijk.

Live music is the reason to come. There is a stage and it is used — established acts and newcomers, plus a jam session every five weeks where professionals and amateurs of every age play together, music quizzes and themed evenings including vinyl nights where you can request what you want to hear. Caribbean dishes from the kitchen, a long drinks list, and a humidor restocked weekly with Cuban cigars.

Open every day from 17:00 until 02:00, which makes it one of the few places on the island still going after midnight. Friday is the busiest night by a distance. Prices are ordinary bar prices. An hour for a drink, an evening if there is a band on — check their programme before you plan around it. Being in the centre means you can walk home, which after two in the morning on an island with no taxis on the street is worth planning for.
